K.V. Degree College, Kantabanji is established in 1990-91, is one of the leading degree colleges in the district of Bolangir. It has been continuously thriving to provide quality education at undergraduate level since its inception. It has been effectively catering to the needs of this region, particularly for the socio-economically backward sections. This institution has produced many graduates in both Arts and Commerce who are serving in various capacities in different fields across the country.

It is a fully Aided Non-Government College coming under 277 category of colleges having been permanently recognised by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. It is affiliated to Sambalpur University, Odisha.
